The Center for Logic, Language, and Cognition (LLC) at the University of Turin promotes scientific progress by fostering constructive interactions among researchers with a different background. The members of the LLC study reasoning and cognition in all their forms. Many, but not all of them are philosophers; other members work in linguistics, psychology and computer science.
This website presents the LLC activities that concern philosophical questions, and the research groups that address them. The official center website can be reached at https://www.llc.unito.it/.
Philosophy@LLC consists of four (partially overlapping) groups and research lines:
Mumble (philosophy of mind, language and perception)
Logic (logic, epistemology, philosophy of mathematics)
Science & More (history, sociology and philosophy of science)
Neural Mechanisms (philosophy of neuroscience and cognition)
Each group runs their own seminar series, highlighted by different colors in the calendar. There are also meetings targeting all center members: the LLC Seminar.
Finally, the Center organizes the webinar and conferences and workshops on various topics. It also hosts an annual series of lectures held by distinguished scholars, the LLC Lectures.
